PacificWindsurf Wind Alerts

"As free as the wind, but more reliable."

Wind alerts are now available for British Columbia, California,  Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, the Pacific Northwest, Florida and Texas! 

Select:

	your weather alert location(s),
	minimum wind speed value in m.p.h.,
	the # of hours (1 - 6) to wait before sending a second alert (if applicable) after sending an initial alert,
	if you would like the body of your e-mail alert to also include the full wind reading summary for all sites in your region,
	e-mail or mobile text message as your alert type

If the wind reaches your specified wind strength for your weather station, you'll receive a message alert indicating the current wind strength and direction..  The alert checks the wind conditions and sends applicable alerts every hour.  After sending an initial alert the script will wait anywhere from 1 to 6 hours to send you another alert (if applicable based on wind speed), depending on your subscription settings.

If you sign up for a wind alert, please also consider joining the mailing list to receive updates regarding new functionality and services as they become available.  Currently the mobile text message alerts do not seem to work with AT & T cell phone plans, but they do work with Cingular.
